A welcoming and friendly atmosphere in a beautiful setting We arrived and it was busy, however we ordered whilst waiting a few minutes for a table and our drinks and food arrived quickly and tasted great! Couldn't leave without cakes to take home Looking forward to the next visit

Excellent place and interesting menu with lots of choice. Nothing too much trouble - I had pancakes off the breakfast menu in the afternoon.

First time here today and will definitely be returning. Atmosphere is relaxing and love how they've made a feature out of the 400 year old chestnut tree. Service was friendly & prompt. Love that it's dog friendly inside as well as outside. Food was delicious, we both had lasagne with salad, rainbow coleslaw and garlic bread. Very impressed! Not sure why someone commented about no vegan choices?? Maybe they've clicked on the wrong Google listing??

Found it by chance when it was closed. But we went on the off chance it would be open, it's family run all with welcoming smile you order at the counter and then they will bring it out t o you. We had cake and tea and coffee. It smells inviting. So we will be going again. There are toilets and a fenced off place to let the kids play. You don't hear the cars. The occasional light aircraft fly over. Well, I thought of place. Would recommend it.

Second time visit to The Chestnut Tree today and it was buzzing. Gorgeous day with folks taking a coffee outside….can’t wait to do that in the summer months! Sat inside and this time tried some food - delicious what a super way to start the day

1st Feb 2025 - A fantastic little gem, which I understand has been in existence only for a few months and yet the experience left me wanting to return in the near future. The staff were amazingly pleasant, not just professional, but you could genuinely tell they wanted to be there and do their best. The venue was clean and tidy, The food was well made and presented. A special thank you to Liz, Who was kind to make me a long black coffee, which wasn't on the menu, but was happy to accommodate. I shall be returning in the near future and I encourage others to visit. Also a thank you to Liz’s mum and dad who were kind to take a few moments of their time to talk to me about their farming days.
